1. Who We Are
This policy explains how Vaglica Group LLC, a New York limited liability company ("Domas," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the Domas & Co. service as a member or vendor.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: name, email, phone number, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and for vendors, trade categories and insurance/license credentials.
Job information: the property address and free-text description you provide when requesting a job, photos submitted with completion, and messages exchanged in a job or support conversation.
Payment information: handled directly by our processor, Stripe - Domas does not store your full card number. We retain the charge amount, status, and Stripe's reference IDs for your job/payment history.
Communications data: if you opt in to text messages, we retain your phone number and message delivery status for that purpose.
Usage and device data: log data (IP address, browser, timestamps) collected automatically for security and reliability, e.g. rate-limiting and fraud detection.
3. How We Use Information
To operate the Service: create and manage your account, match a job to a vendor, process payments, send job and account notifications, and provide support.
To categorize job requests: the free-text description you submit is sent to a third-party AI model (an Anthropic Claude model) to classify the job type and urgency. This is automated processing used only to route your request - it is not used to build an advertising profile.
To keep the Service secure: detect fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access, and to comply with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Information
With the vendor matched to your job, we share the job details necessary to complete it (your property address, job description, and photos). With service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: Stripe (payments), our SMS provider (text delivery), Anthropic (job classification), and our cloud hosting provider. With law enforcement or regulators when required by law. We do not sell personal information.
5. Text Messages and Consent
If you opt in to SMS notifications, your phone number and consent record are retained for as long as you remain opted in. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or from your Account notification settings; opting out does not affect other account functionality.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
Domas uses browser local storage (not third-party advertising cookies) to keep you signed in between visits. We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers on the app; if that changes, this policy will be updated first. Our payment processor (Stripe) and font provider (Google Fonts) may set their own cookies or see your IP address as a normal part of providing those services.
Do Not Track: we do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, because no common industry standard exists for how a site should interpret them.
7. Data Retention
We retain account and job data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to satisfy tax, accounting, dispute, and legal obligations. Backups are retained on a rolling encrypted schedule and are not indexed for day-to-day access.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption of stored backups, rate limiting, login protections, and two-factor authentication for administrative access. No system is completely secure; if we experience a breach affecting your personal information, we'll notify you as required by applicable law.
9. Your Rights and Choices
You can access and update most of your account information from your Account page, or request access, correction, or deletion by emailing [email protected]. We'll verify your identity before acting on the request.
California residents: under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request deletion, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined by California law. To exercise these rights, email [email protected] with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line.
Other states: residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (e.g. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut) have similar rights - contact us using the same email and we'll route your request under the law that applies to you.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email before they take effect.
